One Lane of Traffic on Inboard Quarry Rd to Close 10/30/13
October 23rd, 2013
At 12:01 am on Wednesday, October 30th, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital construction crews will close one lane of traffic on the inboard (Packard) side of Quarry Road between Welch Road and Quarry Extension.
One lane of the two-lane inboard road will remain open at all times. Two-lane traffic on outboard Quarry Road will not be affected.
This lane closure is necessary to accommodate future construction trailers onsite as part of the Packard Children’s Expansion Project. This closure will remain in effect throughout construction.
Traffic delineators will be used to block off the lane of traffic on the early morning of 10/30. The delineators will be replaced with concrete barriers throughout the morning.
The sidewalk closest to the Packard Children’s construction site on Quarry Road will also close. The sidewalk and crosswalks to outboard Quarry Road will remain open. Bicyclists may share the road with vehicles during this time. The Marguerite stop on Quarry Rd will remain operational.
Flaggers will be onsite to assist with vehicular traffic.
We thank you for your patience and support as we work to build extraordinary new facilities for our Medical Center campus.
