Construction to affect hospital routes, parking as of Nov. 1
October 24th, 2012
As construction ramps up for the future Stanford Hospital, several changes in parking, traffic and pedestrian routes will occur.
Effective Nov. 1, Stanford Hospital’s existing patient and visitor parking lot, Parking Structure 3 (PS3), will be closed permanently, allowing for upcoming construction for the future Stanford Hospital. Patients and visitors please note:
- Stanford Hospital visitor parking will now be in the Pasteur Visitor Garage/PS 4, located at the intersection of South Pasteur Drive and Welch Road. This underground lot, formerly used by hospital employees, will be free for the first hour and $6 for every additional 6 hours up to $12. A free tram service will be available at the lot to help transport patients and visitors through the medical center.
- For patients and visitors to the Blake Wilbur Clinics, the Advanced Medicine Center/Cancer Center and the Ambulatory Surgery Center, access to Blake Wilbur Drive will now be from Welch Road. Parking for these Blake Wilbur Drive programs is Valet Only. The first hour is free and $6 for every additional 6 hours up to $12, the same rate as self-parking in the Pasteur Visitor Garage PS4, but much more convenient. Please do choose this service. And tipping of the Valets is not expected.
Patients should allow extra time to reach the hospital during this time.
Patients and visitors who need help with navigation or who are concerned about running late to an appointment should contact their clinic or Guest Services at (650) 498-3333.
