Tours of the New Stanford Hospital Construction Site

Thank you for your interest in the new Stanford Hospital construction site tour program. Construction is underway to build the new Stanford Hospital facility located at 500 Pasteur Drive in Palo Alto, California. The new 824,000 square foot facility will include 368 private patient rooms (for a total of 600 beds on site), a new Level-1 Trauma Center more than twice the size of the current ED, state of the art diagnostic and treatment rooms, five gardens and a new parking structure. A pedestrian bridge and underground tunnel will connect the new building to the existing facility located at 300 Pasteur Drive. The new Stanford Hospital will be open to first patients in 2019.

Tours of the construction site are currently being offered to Stanford Health Care employees and medical staff on the first Thursday of each month from 3-4 pm. At this time these are the only tours offered, special requests cannot be accommodated.

Tours begin at 3 pm sharp. Please arrive at 2:45 pm for required check-in and to pick up your safety gear.

ALL tour participants must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes (work boots or hiking boots) in order to access the construction site. Participants must wear long shirts and long pants; no dresses, skirts or scrubs are allowed.
